Navigating Your Career Goals when Your Boss Works Elsewhere
#WESTorg

Technology and globalization have changed how teams work together. Gone are the days when everyone sits in the same location within sight of each other. Remote work, virtual teams and flexible work arrangements have enable teams from different geographies to come together in new and innovative ways. As an ambitious professional, this provides challenges when your boss and/or colleagues are situated elsewhere. How do you advance your career path? How do you make decision-makers aware of your professional value so you can advance in your organization? How do you navigate difficult conversations when misunderstandings occur? How do you create a visible, influential presence when you aren’t in the room? This session is designed to provide the participants with practical proven skills for positively elevating their professional visibility for career advancement. During the session participants will practice remote work techniques for effectively communicating their professional value; establishing a strong professional reputation and developing/maintaining critical stakeholder relationships over distance. In addition, participants will learn techniques for setting appropriate boundaries with key stakeholders for greater personal/professional health and satisfaction.
