Bios from the Panelists

Olu Ibrahim is the Founder & CEO of Kids in Tech, Inc. Kids in Tech partners with school districts and youth development organizations to provide high quality technology education for young children and youth in mid-sized cities in the after school setting. Previously, she served as an Education Pioneers Fellow with the Memphis Music Initiative, directed a high school technology internship program for high school students, and as a middle school teacher. Her professional interests focus on workforce development; K-12 and postsecondary education; technology and innovation; public policy; and business management. Olu Ibrahim received her Bachelors of Arts in Government and International Relations from Clark University and her Master in Education from Lesley University with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction and Leadership. She also served as a Community Fellow and received a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the Institute of Nonprofit Practice (INP) in affiliation with the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life at Tufts University. She is also a finalist for the 2017 Young Professional of the Year award from the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network. Olu is a fierce advocate for creating a more safe, healthy, and equitable world.

Sue Perng Lee is the SVP, General Counsel and Secretary of Entegris, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENTG), a leader in specialty chemicals and advanced materials solutions for microelectronics manufacturing and other high-technology industries. With approximately 4,000 employees worldwide and more than $1 billion in annual revenue, Entegris has manufacturing, customer service and/or research facilities in the United States, China, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan. Over 70% of Entegris’ revenues come from Asia. Sue is responsible for all legal matters for Entegris, including commercial contracts, securities law, compliance, antitrust, and intellectual property. Sue manages a worldwide team of 15 legal professionals. Prior to joining Entegris, Sue was general counsel and corporate secretary of CYREN Ltd. (NASDAQ: CYRN), a cyber security firm based in Israel. Previously, Sue served as general counsel for Harmonix Music Systems, a former MTV company and one of the world’s leading music game development studios. Before Harmonix, Sue was vice president of business & legal affairs for MTV Networks, where Sue oversaw development of the billion-dollar, award winning Rock Band franchise, including The Beatles Rock Band and LEGO Rock Band, and Dance Central. Before joining MTV, Sue was securities counsel at Genzyme Corporation, a Fortune 500 biotech company acquired by Sanofi-Aventis. Prior to going in-house, Sue was an attorney at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York. Sue received her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Harvard University in East Asia Studies and her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she served as president of APALSA.

Andrew Olney is Director of Technology Development at Analog Devices, Inc. He manages a department that is responsible for researching, developing, and supporting new manufacturing processes used in Analog Devices, Inc.’s Wilmington, Massachusetts wafer fabrication facility. This includes Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS), photonics, bipolar, and energy harvesting/storage processes. Prior to 2015, Andrew managed a wide range of operations in ADI’s Quality Department, including Quality Systems, Reliability, Product Analysis, Product Robustness, and Calibration. Andrew has published numerous technical papers on integrated circuit reliability and maximizing product robustness, and he holds several patents on electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection circuits. Since 2000, Andrew has led ADI’s anti-counterfeiting initiatives. He is active in the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), and he chaired the SIA Anti-Counterfeiting Task Force from 2011 until 2013. Andrew received a BS degree from Lehigh University (1985) and an MS degree from Boston University (1990), both in electrical engineering.

Jody Saarmaa is Vice President of Product Management at Building Engines. She has over 25 years experience in high tech, spanning a broad range of industries including SaaS business applications, encryption, data security, international business management and advanced control systems. An executive and innovator with a passion for bringing new products to market, she built product management organizations at several Boston-area high-growth firms including Liquid Machines, High Street Partners and Active Control eXperts. She began her career at IBM where she held roles in software engineering, sales and product marketing. Ms. Saarmaa holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management with concentrations in Marketing and Finance and a BS in Computer Science and Economics from Duke University. Ms. Saarmaa is a long-time supporter of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, where she currently serves on the Board of Overseers.

Elaine L. Webb manages Engineering Change Implementation at Applied Materials Varian Semiconductor Equipment in Gloucester MA. Elaine re-launched her engineering career in 2010 at Varian returning to her process engineering roots in a supplier and product quality-engineering role. She immediately established herself as a leader and an innovator, leveraged her 13-year career in telecommunications, and is now a Senior Manager. She has a proven record of accomplishment in engineering and manufacturing management including; quality systems, new product realization, PCB and systems manufacturing, and customer-integrated change control. Elaine established a passion for community service while she was raising her 4 sons. An eleven-year career shift began in 1999 when the youngest of her 4 boys was one and Elaine took leave of her senior position at AT&T and Lucent. Today all four of her sons are studying engineering and she continues to serve as an elected school committee, substance abuse coalition vice-president, and on the board of directors at LEAP for Education. Elaine holds a Bachelor in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University, a Master’s in Business Administration from Boston University, and a Masters in Manufacturing Systems from Clarkson University.

Debbie Gustafson is the CEO of Energetiq Technology, Inc., a high tech equipment company. Debbie is a hands-on executive and leader with a proven track record of organizational success in the semiconductor and related industries. She is an expert in operations and sales & marketing. She has vast international experience including Asia, Europe, and Israel and is experienced in negotiating large, complex and multifaceted contracts and supplier agreements. In a prior role she has opened up offices and joint ventures in Japan and Korea. She has held strategic marketing and sales positions at Mykrolis (Entegris), ASTeX (MKS), Teradyne and Helix (Brooks Automation). She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Southeastern Massachusetts University (UMass Dartmouth) and an MBA in Management from Bentley University.
