Independent Consulting - Get off the Employment Merry Go Round and Work for Yourself

It's often said that it takes a special kind of person to work for themselves. Truth is, it takes a special kind of person to work for someone else: an ability to confirm to a rigid schedule, meet the expectations of others, and put our own desires on hold.

As an Independent Consultant, you work for yourself, set your own structure, your own hours, and your own work style. You prosper or perish because of what you do, not what someone else does. In this session on Independent Consulting, Jim Connell, the President of the Society of Independent Consultants, will review prerequisites, advantages, disadvantages, and resources for launching your career as a consultant.

Come ready to consider the Independent Path.
